I suppose that winter has finally arrived with the snow on the top of Mt. Taranaki as the definitive sign. Although I really don't enjoy being cold, it does make some great photos.
Snow is beautiful to look at but I prefer to stay out of it. Mt Ben Lomond that I posted photos of recently can be seen from here & it's covered in snow now too. It has really dropped the temperature here in town because of it.
I agree on both counts, I don't like the cold, but I love the look. I am wondering why we traveled for so long and chose now to return (rather than now to leave). Oh well.
It's so strange that you got winter when the summer just arrived where we lives. I like winter but it wouldn't be so fun if we didn't have any summer in between.
"Taranaki" is one of those wonderful-sounding words that immediately fascinate - even if you've no idea where or what it is. In this case it's every bit as mysterious as it sounds.
We live on an amazing planet :) Winter and summer - all seasons at once ... just in different places :) We are just starting to enjoy summer! Beautiful mountain-photos!
Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow! What an amazing view and you are right, it makes for great photos. I am looking forward to getting a taste of the cold when I head south for a bit but it will look nothing like this. Have a great week and stay warm.
Amazing snowy views you have captured so beautifully! Even though I live in the mountains now, it never tires me to see the views, summer or winter! Many thanks for including them for SEASONS this week an stay warm:) "See" you in a few days, Jesh~
Wow, amazing photos!!! The snowy mountains looks glamorous! The surface looks like delicious icecreme. Here is summertime and you start in the snow time.... Greetings kerstin
I feel the same as you -- hate being cold, love the way the snow-capped mountains look. Thanks for this (and we will soon be in Colorado where I'll see some "for reals".
