my first tulip

I've been keeping an eye on the first tulip to bloom in my garden, Below is a photo from a post a few days back. 

This is about a week ago, and

this is how it looks now. I find it quite pretty in each stage.

    Amazing tulips! Just heading into autumn over here - it will be 6 or 7 months before we see tulips - except on your blog, of course!

    I love the soft gentle colors of the first shot, and the bright cast in the final one. Tulips always make me smile.

    These are lovely. I planted dozens of bulbs a few years ago and had a gorgeous display the following spring. Now it seems that the squirrels have found them!
