A wonderful view - those rocks are amazing! I would love to walk by this beach - and visiting New Zealand is one of my travelling dream destinations ... Sp happy having found your blog, so I get to see more of your beautiful and vast country!
Wow ... the lurking danger of the confident protuding rocks beneath the calm the waters. The place where only birds who can fly dare use as their play and hunting ground.
Love the serenity captured. Thanks for sharing. #CheckOutThatView
Spectacular scenery. I was very fortunate to do a cruise from Sydney to Auckland many years ago, which sailed through the fiords, and had day stops in Dunedin, Wellington and Christchurch. I stayed two days at the end in Auckland. I so wish I'd had more time in this beautiful country.
My posting is of my little two-year-old granddaughter, Harper, enjoying the new chickens in our family.
I love a low tide on a rocky beach. The link was interesting too; I'd love to see those birds. Have to admit I followed the link to see if it told the history of the name (but didn't find it).

ReplyDeleteCape Kidnappers? Is it just the name of it has something to do with kidnapping in history? :)
ReplyDeleteLovely shot. This is the one corner of New Zealand we haven't made it to yet. I hope Cyclone Pam didn't do too much damage to this beautiful scene.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great composition. The sea and the rock formations are wonderful.
ReplyDelete@Mari: If you click on the words 'Cape Kidnapper' (notice they are a different color) you will go to a link that explains the name.
ReplyDeleteImpressive seashore at low tide. Bet there is lots to see in the shallows. Like your photo.
