shadowy cliffside

As beautiful as this cliffside is so see, it is easily washed away by the tide. Actually, most of the seaside places we visit in Taranaki have warning signs that the cliffs are prone to crumble. When I took this photo, I was wondering how long it would be before that house would have to be moved.

  1. A precarious perch! Not the sort of property to buy as a long-term investment.

  5. Interesting shot. Whole villages have been lost on the east coast for Britain due to erosion. People have lost everything.

  7. I don't think I'd want to live that close to a crumbling cliff!

  9. Such a fragile scene. Reminds me of the cliffs by the Pacific in Oregon.

  10. The cliffs are pretty to look at. Don't think I'd want to be perched atop.

  11. Yeah, it's just a matter of time when that house has to be moved. I have seen houses in my country moved to the innerland as the ocean slowly eats up the land area.
