Wow...that makes me sad. For a workman to call this home. I'm glad they saved it (or reconstructed it) for a museum so people can see how hard it was during the Depression!
Wow!! I cannot imagine living in a place like that, but I suppose it was better than sleeping rough! We have it so easy now, when it comes to housing!!

How very ingenious to make the house out of drums and it was great to see the inside and how they have kept it for people to see,

ReplyDeleteInteresting way to make a house. Love seeing all the rusty utensils inside! My kind of place to visit!
ReplyDeleteAgree, very ingenious! But wouldn't they get really hot\/

ReplyDeleteThat is great; a place to cook, a place to eat and a place to sit/sleep...all under a roof and mostly wind-proof. That'll do!!!
Something similar over at my place today. YAM xx

ReplyDeleteInteresting little house. I guess you make do with the materials you have.

ReplyDeleteTough lot, those pioneers! I've lived in some fairly basic habitations in my time but nothing quite that primitive - they have my admiration.
ReplyDeleteYou always find the neatest things!
