What a surprise it was to be minding our own business, tooling down the road, and then to see all those colors flying across the road! I wish these were better shots, but they are sooo fast and the weather was not helpful.

it is a pity they have become a pest because they are so beautiful. Love them on the fence.
ReplyDeleteGood to catch photos of those Eastern Rosellas - they are so fast. They were released in the early 1900s and are now well-established. Your link led to an article about Rainbow Lorikeets - not the same bird at all and apparently released in Auckland much more recently.

ReplyDeleteI have five parrots. A couple of them are pests in their native lands. However, I think humans are pests. The parrots came first, unless like Starlings, some idiot imported them.
