Pine trees grow amazingly fast in NZ, like these Norfolk Pines. According to this article, these trees were planted in the 1890's and are approaching the end of their lives.

I thought palm-tree lined streets were only in California or Florida.
I don't know what kind of tree this is, but it looked quite pretty against the blue sky.
Norfolk Pines I think they are called. We only have a few up here but they are huge things aren't they? I quite like them :-)

ReplyDeleteThat last photo looks like what we call (in Florida) a carrot tree ... it is an invasive species there, but probably belongs to you. I think it's beautiful.
Majestic pinetrees! It will look very empty when they are gone. Lets hope they have many more years left in them :)
