black swans and cygnets

It's been almost a year since I hurt my back and I'm finally getting back to as-normal-as-possible and able to get around pretty well. So, Hubby suggested a walk to Nowell's Lakes (well, one of them) and we were pleasantly surprised by several black swans and this bevy of cygnets.

  3. A lovely pic Betty. Our Swan River in Perth is named after the black swans which inhabited the river when the early settlers arrived.

  14. Oh I love the cygnets. I took pictures of some black swans in Florida last year at one of the lakes and learned that they had (originally) been imported from NZ or Australia. They are beautiful.

Glad you're back to being able to take nature walks.
