When I moved to the southern hemisphere, I was hoping that seasons would be relatively opposite of those in the north.
Sadly, it's just another thing that has me confused about this big blue ball we live on.
In the north, August is quite hot, as I recall, and in my head it should be the middle of winter here, but it's not.
Spring is blooming all around!
HI Beautiful Camelia shot.
ReplyDeleteLovely pinks!
ReplyDeletePretty.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! The link is now open for I Heart Macro :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous flowers, so odd to think the otherside of the globe should be in the middle of winter.

ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful; I have to smile at your confusion. When I first started reading memes it really confused me when people in your country would talk about the first day of spring (or winter, or whatever) and it wouldn't be the first day of the opposite season here. My husband explained it to me, something about the shape of the earth etc etc (and he lost me quickly).
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, even if my scientific knowledge and ability to understand is totally lacking, I can appreciate beautiful photos of beautiful flowers .... and therefore, I loved this post!
