I found this great flower growing in the thicket beside a river. I don't know what it is, but I thought it was interesting and different. It reminds me of a wild onion. Please let me know if you know what it is.
It's very pretty. I'm not sure what it is but it looks like the alliums we have in the US. They are a part of the onion and garlic family, but they produce beautiful flowers. Thanks for stopping by my blog and your nice comment.

I'm not sure what your flower is, but it reminds me a little of the beautiful flowering thistles we are trying to eradicate from our farmland!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is interesting and different.

At this stage I'm not sure if it is like a thistle or an allium. As I recall, alliums grow taller and more flowery - so perhaps more time will tell.
ReplyDeleteVery unusual, and so lovely!
ReplyDeleteThat IS interesting and most stunning!

ReplyDeleteNot sure what it is, but yes, it does remind me of a wild onion.
ReplyDeletequite striking!
How do you get such detailed camera shots? I'm always impressed.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful photograph! I think it might be a thistle, but you'll need to return and take another picture when it's in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty--I especially like the way the leaves of the plant have wrapped themselves around the flower--almost as if they are framing it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photograph for the letter W...
ReplyDeleteWildflowers are so beautiful... I Wish I knew the name of it...
