kingfisher

As Hubby and I were watching the waves, this kingfisher flew in and had a look around.

    Just Lovely! If I wanted to go anywhere, far away, I think of New Zealand! And to be a bit prosaic, I always bought New Zealand lamb whenever I saw it in the
    supermarket, which is rarely now, alas! Your photos are a treat!

    Gorgeous and I am SO envious...I just can't get a picture of a kingfisher...tried again yesterday. They sit perfectly still for hours and hours until I take out my camera.

    A kingfisher is always a great bird to see - but when they turn up in an unexpected place it seems ever better.
