    Great photo of the shag in the nest. Is that a kowhai tree - I think I recognize the beautiful yellow flowers.

    This is one of about twenty nesting around the lower lake at the park. Couldn't figure out what it was at first, always thought they nested on rocky cliffs. Great shot.
