Pig-out point (click here for other shots) is a sea-side parking lot where New Plymouth folk go to eat food from the drive-thru. The gulls (and ducks) have figured this out and loiter for hand-outs.
People don't give birds enough credit for how smart they really are. These are some great shots! The scenery you have been taking pictures of on your site makes me want to live there!
Love that first shot, and Belle and Lesley are right, you should send it to National Geographic, or enter it into a photographic competition. Gulls always have a beak for food and know the best dining spots around.
