  1. I forgot! It is spring there. It is fall now and there is a nip in the air. It is a bit of relief after weeks of hot weather. Love the flowers.

  2. Oh my gosh -- I love the look at Spring. That's a season we pretty much miss altogether because we never get back to Oregon on time for it (too tropical in Florida for those lovely flowers -- but most of them used to bloom in our garden when we owned our house here). Now I can just look at pictures and talk to our daughter about daffodills, lilacs etc...I miss them (in both senses of the word).

  3. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures from your part of the world. How lovely. They are hinting that fall is near, aren't they? : )

  5. Ah, you get to discover signs of impending spring, while we in the northern hemisphere are staring winter in the face!

    SOME CALL IT RED

    “I don’t have time,” my grandfather said,
    “to dither around and stand on my head,
    pretending that crimson is blue, not red—
    just tell me the truth, if you please.

    “I’m much too old for being lied to,
    so tell me the truth about the rose hue
    that colors the sky when the day is through
    and adds a bright blush to the trees.

    “Some call it red and some call it pink,
    some call it strawberry wine-colored ink;
    I call it rubicund, that’s what I think—
    now leave me alone, if you please.”
