Eltham, Taranaki, movie set

Predicament, the fourth book by Ronald Hugh Morrieson, is being filmed partly in the tiny town of Eltham, where the author lived. There has been some work on Bridge Street to make it into a 1930's street and the Town Hall has a set being built in it. Here are a few photos that we snapped the other day when we went through Eltham.

    Liked looking at the street scene. I've been to NZ and am besotted with its natural beauty and the charming towns.

    What a charming little town, I've drove from Christ Church to Dunedian once, and I think I've seen some of similar scene. I'm from a big town, so this kind of scene is really an eye opener to me. Interesting yet beautiful in it's own way.

    Eltham is on the North Island. At least that's what I found out just now by means of Google. I have only been on the South Island, and found it very beautiful! Thanks for the photos!

    The actual shooting of the film was sporadic and, according to the paper, in about 10-minute increments because they had to stop traffic on 'high' (main) street. They were not shooting when we were there.
