These photos are of the terrain along the interior highways of NZ. There are hillsides of ponga (palm) trees among the interesting rock formations with the strata visible. The 'waves' of hillside created by the lava flow are awesome to see. None of these pictures do the scenery justice, as the weather was sucky most of the trip.

Oh, what awesome shots! I love the stand of trees atop the ridge! Outstanding! Thanks for sharing and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteStrangely, the second picture down looks like it could be of the San Joaquin Valley in Central California. Odd to think that two places on opposites side of the world could look similar.
ReplyDeleteAll of the pictures are great. The exposed rock in the greenery is stunning. Thanks for sharing.
I'm sure it is much better in person, but it is pretty spectacular in the photos, too!
ReplyDeleteThey're all breathtaking but photo no 3 is a sight I'd like to see most with my own eyes.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

This is one country i would love to visit.
ReplyDeleteThe sucky weather didn´t hurt them at all in my mind. That big mountain ridge with a line of trees was brilliant. That strange rock formation was also a sight to see.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos
ReplyDeleteWow, I must visit New Zealand sometime, made me think - Lord of the Rings.
