Many of the public buildings in the small towns have been purchased for residential use because of the earthquake regulations.

I think it's awesome people are buying the old buildings, better that than them getting torn down.

I could live in the post office building, so beautiful. I also like that crumbling shack, but couldn't live there :-)

I am curious about your opening statement that many small buildings have been purchased for residential purposes due to concerns about earthquakes. Do the same concerns not apply for people living there?
