kingfisher

This little guy/gal showed up on a dull, cloudy day. It's the second time I've seen him/her. I think s/he was fishing in the little river along the paddock. If you want to know more about him/her, click here.

Great photo. I love kingfishers but they seldom sit still long enough for me to get a photo.

What a lovely close-up. It looks a little smaller than the kingfishers I see here.

they're a beautiful bird to get to see; sometimes elusive, or just too far away

A nice photo, I wonder how many people make the same assumption as my self, when confronted with a bird where both birds (male & female)have the same plumage, look identical. I nearly always say He's a beauty, why? ;-).
All the best Gordon.

I am SOOOO jealous. I have been wanting to get a Kingfisher forever...see them often on both coasts...they always sit still just until I get my camera out.

Beautiful bird, beautiful picture.
