swans at virginia lake

I was excited to see white swans at this lake since black swans are the norm here.

I'm excited to see the black ones because I never see them in real life.

Love the close ups; very nice. We finally saw some at our lake a few years ago, and I only thought there was maybe one family, but this year, we saw so many. However, no black one. They are so graceful to watch. :)

I love swans. We use to have them in our park Aviary but some were killed by raccoons who invade the enclosure. The black one's are so cool.

I don't think I have seen a swan in person... Thank you for the opportunity to see their faces and for joining into Nature Notes... Michelle

Hi--I just watched a YouTube video about how much people loved living in New Zealand. You are very lucky! I'd watch that third swan if I were you, they are pretty, but oh, such nasty temperments if provoked in any way. Kind of like geese.
