Mt Taranaki/Egmont

You can see Mount Taranaki from anyplace in the Taranaki District except for one place on the beach.  I have so many shots of it in various weather and seasons....but I will only share a few with you.

The mountain is barely visible on the right.

You can't fence in that beauty. :)

I came to see the fence and I got a whole wonderful series on Mount Taranaki. What a stunning mountain! It sure stole the show from the fence... but you've got all the memes nicely covered. :-)

Beautiful shots of a beautiful subject. Reminds me of Mt. Hood in Oregon. I would love to visit New Zealand someday, but we shall see.

Mercy sakes alive! How do you get anything done living in the midst of such beauty?! I wouldn't be able to do anything but stare at it all... all day long!
I thought those were clouds in the last shot until I read 'mountains on the right'! How tall is that mountain? It has to compete w/ Mt Everest. Goodness gracious!

Happy Friday =)

That old mountain or volcano is a beautiful backdrop for the fencing.
Beautiful shots!

What a beautiful mountain...the top is pretty severe and high. Noticed the covered hay bales like we have here in VA, and the leaning fenceposts in the foreground. All of the posts around us lean one way or the other. Gorgeous captures of the mountain with its snow, clouds, and blue skies. genie
